During this tour of 14 days, you can traverse the whole country in a comfortable Landcruiser irrespective of group size, we provide a Landcruiser for 3 person with the possibility to explore the backroads of most villages in the Kingdom apart from visiting all the major sights on a conventional Cultural tour of the country. The curves and terrain of a mountain road can best be explored with a comfortable landcruiser and a knowledgible guide. We maintain a fleet of upto date Toyota Landcruiser Prados GX models. The city of Gauwhati has an international airport that connects with all major cities in India and Bangkok. Exit from Gauwhati is possible and we can arrange flights from Gauwhati.


Itinerary
   BHUTAN LANDCRUISER TOUR

Day01  Arrive at Paro.
Arrival at Paro international airport from, Bangkok, Delhi, Kathmandu or Kolkata. Upon arrival transfer to Hotel, check in the hotel. Evening explore the Paro town or be at leisure. O/N Paro Mandalla Resort or Dechen Hill Resort.

Day02. Paro sightseeing.
Explore Paro valley, drive upto Drukgyal Dzong. If you wish hike to Taktsang monastery, visit Kyichu Lhakhang and National Museum. After lunch  ride to the Chelila pass at 4000m, this is one of the highest road point in Bhutan, you have great views of the Himalayan range. o/n Paro.
Milage about 120km.

Day03. Drive from Paro to Thimphu.  1.3 hrs. Drive to Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan, sightsee Thimphu, visit the view point and do some rides with some Cultural highlight. Later can be at leisure to explore downtown. o/n Thimphu.  o/n Yeedzin Hotel.
Milage appx 100km.

Day04. Thimphu sightseeing. Drive to Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan, sightsee Thimphu, visit the view point and do some rides with some Cultural highlight. Later can be at leisure to explore downtown. o/n Thimphu.

Day05. Thimphu to Punakha.  Drive to Punakha valley, explore some villages around Punakha and Wangdue region, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong which is located in between two rivers, the male and female rivers. Drive further north of Punakha to see the villages around the area. o/n Punakha. Milage appx.120km.  o/n Meriphuensuem Resort.

Day06. Punakha sightseeing and drive to Gangtey v. Explore Phobjikha Valley and visit the Gangtey Monastery, if in late Fall you may see the black necked cranes at Phobjikha. O/N Gangtey appx 110km. Dewachen Hotel.

Day07. Drive to Bumthang. 5hrs. Drive from Gangtey to Bumthang via Pelala Paas and Trongsa Valley, after lunch visit the Trongsa Dzong. Trongsa Dzong is the largest Dzong in Bhutan and of much importance to the Royal family in Bhutan, because it was from this Dzong that the current hereditary monarchy took its roots.  Continue drive to Bumthang the Switzerland of Bhutan, on the way visit Yatha weaving center at Chumey. O/N Bumthang The Swiss Guest House.

Day08. Bumthang sightseeing and exploration.
Explore Bumthang Valley and sightseeing visit Lhakhangs/Monasteries and Dzong. If you wish you can visit the Tang valley and the beautiful Ugen Choling Palace muesuem. Or can visit the local sights around Bumthang including the Burning lake on way to Tang valley. Visit the Jambay Lhakhang Monastery and the Kyurgye Monastery, which are regarded as one of the most sacred Monasteries in Bhutan. o/n Bumthang.

Day09. Bumthang to Mongar. 7hrs
Today start your journey to the east of Bhutan. The drive is one through the least crowded motorable roads offering very good scenery amidst various types of conifer forests. You cross the Thrumshingla pass at 12,465ft which is the highest motorable road in the Kingdom. Appx 200km. o/n Mongar. Druk Shongar or Wangchuk Hotel.

Day10. Mongar Lhuenste Mongar excursion. 7hrs
Today excursion to Lhuentse, early morning drive to Lhuentse one of the remote district of the Bhutan, visit Dzong and market place return to Mongar in the evening. The drive to Lhuenste is through many remote villages and where very few tourists of late have set their foot on due to remoteness. However there is a beautiful Dzong at Lhuentse that can make an impression. o/n Mongar.

Day11. Mongar to Trashigang. 5hrs
Continue your journey further east of Bhutan to Trashigang. You can visit the Trashigang Dzong and the Trashigang town. The only university in Bhutan is located at Trashigang in Kanglung. Enroute you cross many interesting villages and settlements like Yadi. The entire drive is a very scenic one that crosses passes of 2900m and at times you drop to sea level all in about 2-3 hrs. o/n Trashigang.  Kelling Hotel.

Day12. Tashi Yangtsi excursion. 7hrs Set on a small alluvial plateau visit the district of Tashi Yangtsi, there is yet another beautiful stupa built just like the famous Boudhanath stupa in Nepal. Yangtsi is yet another very remote district in Bhutan that shares the border with Arunachal Pradesh in India. On the way you can visit  Gom Kora Monastery. The entire drive is a scenic one with drives along the river bed and scattered villages. o/n Trashigang.

Day13. Drive to Samdrup Jongkhar.  7hrs, appx. 190km.
Today is your last day in Bhutan, your drive involves crossing many villages and towns, high passes, twisting roads with magnificent scenery.  You pass the settlements of Khaling, Wamrong until you see the plains of India at sea level. Samdrup Jongkhar is the border town of India and Bhutan from the Eastern border. It is a commercial town and you can visit the Paradise or the Zangtopelri Monastery, or be free to walk around this small town. o/n TLT Hotel.

Day14. DEPARTURE FOR GAUWHATI. 3hrs
Connect your flight to Delhi or Bangkok or any major cities in India.

-Accommodation in all places with three meals. Best Hotels and
-Resorts will be arranged in all places, in East Bhutan 01 N will
be in a Guest House, rest all A grade Hotels.
-All visa and special permits will be arranged prior to your
departure.
